The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up

I got a very interesting Japanese book to review today. It is a self-help genre book that teaches us how we can tidy up our room that will eventually help us tidy our life. The first question that can come to your mind is that we need a book to learn how to clean and tidy up our room?

The answer is yes. In the book The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up, Marie Kondo says a method shared. If you follow the method while tidying up your room or house, you will never need to tidy up again all the stuff. Sounds interesting much. The author invented the Kon Mari method, which teaches us the best way to tidy up stuff.

Here in this article, I’ll be reviewing the book from a deep angle. The method that has been shared in the book will be explained in the following section. I’ll also try to give a short bio of the author of this book. There will be some ratings and reviews of the book in the end. Inside The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up

The book The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up was originally published in the Japanese Language in 2010 by Marie Kondo. Then the English version of the book was also available for English readers. The book was written to teach people the best way to tidy up their rooms and houses.

But you may think that is why people need to read a book to learn tidying up. We know the process already. Let me jump inside the book then the concept of tidying up will be cleared to you, hopefully.

The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up Book

The person who keeps his room untidy for weeks and months and can not tidy up can also ignore the problems in his untidy life. So it is not just about the room. It is also about life. Changing life starts from tidying up the bed that you slept in. But we do not notice that a tidy room can have a really big impact on our lives.

When we start tidying up our room, the problem we face is that it gets untidy very quickly. And we need to do it, again and again, every day. The author says that you do not need to do that every day. When we were children, our parents used to scold us to tidy our room.

But no one ever taught us how to do that. Everyone thinks that we would learn the process automatically. But the author of this book denies that. The author thinks we need to learn it properly because an untidy room can lead us to an untidy life.

Kon Mari Method By Marie Kondo

The method is straightforward. Only two ideas belong to this method to clean up your room. The first thing to do is to discard. The author says that you need to discard things from your room that have no value, or you do not need to use them either. And the number two is organizing.

That means those important things in your room need to be organized so you can easily get in touch with them whenever you need them. The author strongly recommends completing the first thing then jumping into number two. If you keep the discarding process incomplete and then jump into organizing, the whole process may fail.
