He was born on February 4, 1958, in Ikuno-Ku, Osaka. He started his literary career when working in Nippon Denso Co. as an engineer. So far, he has won numerous awards, including Edogawa Rampo Prize.
In Japan, the writer has the finest mystery works awarded the Edogawa Rampo Prize. Keigo Higashino won this award for his great work Hōkago in 1985, when he was only 27 years old. After getting popular in literature, he quit his job as an engineer and fully concentrated on writings.

Keigo Higashino won the Mystery Writers of Japan Inc award in 1999 for his captivating works Himitsu. Later, Himitsu was translated by Kerim Yasar in the English language.

The Salvation of a Saint Is a mystery book. In this mystery book, you follow the death of a man who was about to leave his wife. The story of this book starts with them having this conversation about the fact that this guy has a one-year plan, and he presented his plan to his wife before they got married.
His plan was basically like he wanted to have a child with her within the first year of their marriage. Otherwise, he would leave her and have a child with someone else because he believed that the only reason to be married was to have children. They have this conversation; that night, they have a dinner party with another couple that has recently had a baby and the wife’s assistant at her work.
And then the wife goes away on a trip to visit her parents because her father has been sick recently and she hasn’t seen them at all since she’s been married. And so she asked her husband that I would agree to the agreement given to me this weekend to see my parent, and then we will resolve things.
However, that weekend while she is away, her husband dies. Like in this situation, the very obvious suspect for the murder is the wife, but since she was hundreds of miles away when he had died. The police now have to figure out what exactly is going on.

I recommend Keigo Higashino’s Book if you are a mystery lover. For the mystery book lover, Keigo Higashino is a very precious writer. The salvation of a Saint is the third Keigo Higashinos book I have read in my life.
After reading this book, it seems that I have never read a mystery book like this. It is a book of another writing style, where your perspective will automatically change. Automatically you will start thinking differently. This is the book where you don’t necessarily know who exactly it is until the end of the Book, though it was pretty clear who did it in my head.
And so you are following the detectives the whole time you are learning about the case and things like that. And you’re kind of just like finding out information as they’ve finding it out and putting the pieces together with them, which is always really fun for me as a mystery reader.
But you see that there’s only really like one, maybe two, potential suspects. At least in my head, that’s how it was the entire Book. And so, as you are reading through the story, you’re just trying to figure out how did they pull this off? And then why did they it off?
Because like motivation is going to be part of solving the crime itself. So the reason why these types of books are called the detective galileo series. This is like one of the books where it’s perfectly crafted. All of the like stings are perfectly placed; everything is just put together so well.
Keigo Higashino asks different questions; he turns these tropes that a mystery book has on its head a little bit and provides you with a different perspective on the mystery. So that’s all my thoughts about this Book.
